About Alan Malcher

After serving in the British Parachute Regiment Alan Malcher was recruited by British Intelligence whilst at university and was ‘specially employed’ for almost nine years during which he served in several countries, but his previous work is subject to the Official Secrets Act and a comprehensive non-disclosure agreement.

When he completed his bachelor’s degree in modern history which included the Third Reich, Revolution and Counter-Revolution he moved onto postgraduate studies and was awarded a master’s degree in modern social and Cultural History from the University of London.

Even before attending university, he was a regular contributor to international defence and security journals; advised defence correspondents working for the national press and discussed defence and security issues on Sky, BBC television and radio news. He also saved the production of what became an award-winning documentary exposing the Genocide in Rwanda and links to the illegal arms trade after the production company (Twenty-Twenty Television) failed to obtain reliable information and well-informed contributors for the documentary.

Alan Malcher now lives in central London and is a Second World War military historian with a particular interest in the Special Operations Executive and other British clandestine services operating during the war.  Apart from being engaged in historical research he also publishes papers and books on current military affairs associated with information warfare and is one of several academics and specialists members of the Narrative Strategies team based in the United States and further information can be found at https://www.narrative-strategies.com/about

He can be contacted through this blog but all enquiries regarding Narrative Warfare (information warfare) should be sent to the Narrative Strategies link above. alanmalcher@live.com can be used for press enquiries.
